Zoey & Shingi had a small, simple, yet beautiful wedding, with mostly just immediate family members present. As a nature lover I had a great time shooting their wedding. The ceremony location was held in Hartshorne Woods, Monmouth county, at a clearing that overlooked the meeting of the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers. The family portraits were taken at beautiful Sandy Hook beach. Initially, both portraits and ceremony were scheduled for the same day, Oct 1st. I received a call from Zoey on Friday, September 30th, asking if I could come to Sandy Hook beach that day for the family portraits (the forecast called for a 50/50 percent chance of rain on the 1st.) Although they had planned for a separate rainy day location for the ceremony, there was no plan B for the family portraits. Since I was available, I went down to Sandy Hook beach that friday for the family portraits. We ended up having a great time at the beach. The weather was beautiful. The following day, as luck would have it, it turned out to be beautiful as well, so I shot the ceremony at the woods as planned. On both days, however, the rain started coming down as soon I got in my car to head back home. It seemed like God had reserved these time slots just for Zoey & Shingi! 🙂 Please check out my Wedding Wire page to see the awesome review Zoey left for me.
