How much does wedding photography cost?

Wedding photography is one of the few investments that becomes more valuable over time. Long after the flowers have faded and the music has ended, your photographs are what preserve the memories, emotions, and details of your wedding day.

I work with couples who value exceptional photography and want timeless, artistic images captured with care and experience. My collections are designed for clients who prioritize quality, consistency, and peace of mind.

Every wedding is unique, so pricing depends on factors such as coverage time, number of photographers, event locations, and optional albums or wall art. Most couples invest in a customized collection tailored to their celebration.

When you inquire, please include your wedding date, venues, and approximate coverage needs so I can provide an accurate quote.

We love your work, but can we get a discount?

My pricing is carefully structured to reflect nearly two decades of experience, professional equipment, insurance, backup systems, and the extensive editing and service that goes into every wedding.

To ensure fairness to all couples, my rates are firm and not negotiable. Rather than discounting, I can recommend package options that best fit your priorities and coverage needs.

If photography is one of the most important aspects of your wedding, investing in an experienced professional is one of the best decisions you can make.

Our wedding is small. Does that lower the price?

Pricing is based on coverage time, expertise, and the level of service provided—not the number of guests.

Whether your wedding includes 20 guests or 500, I bring the same professional cameras, backup equipment, lighting, and creative attention to detail. Every celebration is photographed with the same level of care and artistry.

We had a bad experience with another photographer. Our images were never properly edited and we never received our album. How will your experience be any different?

I’m truly sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I hear stories like this from couples every year, and it highlights just how important it is to hire an experienced, reputable wedding photographer.

When you choose me, you’re working with a professional who has spent nearly 20 years building a trusted reputation as one of the best NJ wedding photographers. My business is built on consistency, transparency, and delivering exactly what I promise.

Every image you receive is individually color corrected and professionally edited in my signature style—natural, vibrant, and timeless. The quality of the work you see throughout my website and blog is the same level of quality you can expect for your own wedding.

I take tremendous pride in my work and in the experience I provide. My online reviews are overwhelmingly five-star because I am committed to clear communication, reliable delivery, and exceptional results. Your contract will outline exactly what is included, along with delivery timelines for your images, albums, and any additional products, so there are no surprises.

Most importantly, your wedding memories are treated with the same care and attention I would give to my own family’s photographs. My goal is not simply to meet expectations, but to exceed them and provide you with images and albums you will treasure for generations.

If you would like additional peace of mind, I’m happy to provide references from past couples who can speak to their experience working with me.

Are you Insured?

Absolutely. I am fully insured and can provide a certificate of insurance to your venue upon request.

Did you photograph all of the images on your website?

Yes. Every image on my website and social media was photographed by me at real weddings and engagement sessions.

I do not use styled shoots or stock images to market my business, so the work you see is the quality you can expect on your wedding day.

Can I provide you with a list of all the photographs that I want?

I’m always happy to accommodate a few special requests or important shots that matter most to you. However, my photography style is very natural and documentary-focused, meaning I prefer to capture genuine moments as they unfold organically throughout the day.

If I’m constantly referring to a detailed shot list, there’s a greater chance of missing the candid, emotional moments that often become the most meaningful photographs. My goal is to create a collection of images that feels authentic, timeless, and true to your wedding day experience.

I love some wedding images/poses I saw online, can I send you a link to a pinterest gallery?

Absolutely. I welcome inspiration boards and Pinterest galleries because they help me understand the types of images, moods, and moments that resonate with you.

That said, my goal is not to replicate another photographer’s work shot-for-shot. The couples who hire me do so because they trust my artistic vision and appreciate my signature style. Every wedding is unique, and the most meaningful photographs are those that reflect your personalities, your venue, and the genuine emotions of your day.

If you share a few favorite images, I will use them as creative inspiration and as a guide to what you love—whether that’s romantic portraits, candid moments, dramatic lighting, or editorial-style images. I also encourage you to point out any photographs from my own galleries that you especially love, as that gives me the clearest understanding of what you are hoping for.

It’s important to remember that images on Pinterest were created under different conditions: a different venue, lighting, weather, wardrobe, makeup, and timing. Trying to duplicate a photo exactly can often feel forced and may lose the natural emotion that made the original image so compelling.

If you connect with the work you see throughout my website and social media, you can feel confident that I will create photographs that are authentic, beautifully crafted, and uniquely yours. My goal is to produce timeless images that capture your wedding story so well that they become the inspiration other couples save to their own Pinterest boards.

How many images can I expect?

It's hard to put a number as each wedding is different. If I had to provide a number I'd say an average is about 75-100 images an hour during an event. This is just an average and not a guaranteed amount. This number can vary depending on the level of activity at the event. Expect even more if there is a 2nd photographer in your package. At the end of the day my focus is always on quality, and not quantity.

Are we able to print our own pictures after we receive the digital files?

Yes. All final images include a print release for personal use.

For the highest quality, I also offer professional prints, albums, and wall art through labs calibrated for accurate color and exceptional longevity.

Do you do any editing/post processing?

Absolutely. Every image I deliver is professionally edited and color corrected by hand to ensure it reflects my signature style—natural, vibrant, clean, and timeless.

I photograph all weddings in RAW format, which captures the maximum amount of image data and provides the highest possible quality. RAW files are not final photographs; they are digital negatives that require professional processing before they can be transformed into polished, high-resolution images.

Each delivered photo is individually adjusted for exposure, white balance, color, contrast, and overall consistency. My editing approach is designed to enhance your images while preserving realistic skin tones and authentic moments. I avoid overly processed or artificial-looking edits.

Light retouching is included whenever needed. If there is something distracting—such as a temporary blemish, stray hair, or minor background issue—I will address it at my discretion. Additional retouching can also be discussed upon request.

The images you see throughout my website and blog are an accurate representation of the editing style you can expect in your own gallery.

Because RAW files are unfinished working files, I do not provide them under any circumstances. This is similar to asking an artist to deliver an unfinished painting. Your final gallery will include professionally edited, high-resolution JPEG files that are ready for printing, sharing, and enjoying for generations.

How soon can I expect my images?

During peak wedding season, most galleries are delivered within 8–16 weeks. A small preview is typically sent within a few days so you can share highlights with family and friends.

Wedding films, when included, generally take longer because of the extensive editing involved.

Do you have a second photographer ?

Whether a second photographer is included depends on the package you choose, though one can also be added as an à la carte option if not already included. All of my second photographers are carefully vetted, and I work exclusively with experienced professionals whose technical skills and creative style align closely with my own.

There are several advantages to having a second photographer. Most importantly, it allows us to capture the same moment from multiple angles and perspectives, creating a more complete and dynamic story of your day. It also allows simultaneous coverage of different events happening at the same time — for example, the bride and groom getting ready in separate locations.

For weddings with more than 500 guests, I would highly recommend adding a third photographer to ensure comprehensive coverage of all key moments and guests.

What is your photographic style?

My style blends photojournalistic storytelling with elegant editorial portraiture.

I focus on genuine emotion, beautiful light, and timeless compositions that will look just as meaningful decades from now as they do today.

Do you shoot other events besides weddings?

Absolutely. While weddings and engagement sessions are my primary specialty, I also offer professional photography for a variety of other occasions and business needs.

These include:

  • Corporate events and conferences
  • Family portraits
  • Maternity sessions
  • Professional headshots
  • Branding and marketing photography
  • Surprise proposals and engagement sessions

Whether you need polished business imagery or meaningful personal portraits, I bring the same attention to detail, creative vision, and professional editing that I am known for as one of the best NJ photographers.

If you have a specific concept or vision in mind, I’d love to hear about it and discuss how we can create something exceptional.

Can you recommend any other reputable wedding vendors?

Absolutely. Over nearly 20 years of photographing weddings throughout New Jersey and beyond, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and reliable professionals in the wedding industry.

Once you book with me, I’m happy to share trusted recommendations for:

  • Makeup artists and hairstylists
  • DJs and MCs
  • Videographers
  • Decor and floral designers
  • Entertainment
  • Wedding planners and coordinators
  • Transportation and other specialty vendors

I only recommend vendors who consistently deliver exceptional service and maintain the same level of professionalism and attention to detail that I provide to my own clients.

Having a strong team of experienced vendors can make a tremendous difference in the overall wedding experience, helping your day run smoothly and ensuring every detail is executed beautifully. Whatever you need, I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Do you offer videography?

Yes. I work with a highly experienced wedding videographer whose cinematic style complements my photography perfectly.

Booking photography and videography together ensures a seamless experience and a cohesive final product.

Where are you located?

I am based in Burlington County, New Jersey and regularly photograph weddings throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, and destination locations worldwide.

Do you have a studio?

Yes. I have access to a professional shared studio space that can be used for headshots, family portraits, branding sessions, maternity photos, and other creative studio shoots.

The studio offers a clean, controlled environment with professional lighting and backdrops, making it ideal for clients who prefer a polished studio look.

Studio sessions are priced based on the type of shoot, the amount of time needed, and any specific creative requirements. Please contact me with the details of your session, and I’ll be happy to provide a custom quote.

How soon should we meet with you, how do we save our date and how does payment work?

Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, and popular dates can fill much earlier.

To secure your date, a signed agreement and retainer are required. Because I accept a limited number of weddings each year, early booking is strongly recommended.

Why should we hire you and not a large photography studio?

When you hire a large studio, there is often no guarantee that the photographer whose work initially impressed you will be the person who actually shows up on your wedding day. Many high-volume studios assign photographers based on availability, and the experience, technical skill, and artistic style can vary significantly from one photographer to another.

When you hire me, you know exactly who will be documenting your wedding.

I personally photograph every wedding I accept, and every image is individually edited by me to ensure a consistent, high-end result that reflects the work you see throughout my website. What you see is exactly what you can expect.

With nearly 20 years of experience and a reputation as one of the best NJ wedding photographers, I provide a highly personalized experience from our first conversation through final delivery. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple receives my full attention, creative energy, and commitment to excellence.

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and there are no second chances. You deserve an experienced professional who understands lighting, composition, timing, and storytelling, and who will approach your day with the same care and attention as if it were my own.

If you value consistency, personal service, and timeless photography that will be cherished for generations, I would be honored to document your wedding.

What type of equipment do you use?

I use only professional-grade Canon equipment, including full-frame camera bodies, high-end lenses — primarily Canon’s luxury L-series prime lenses — and professional lighting equipment. I also carry backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, batteries, and other essential gear at every wedding to ensure complete reliability in the unlikely event of equipment failure.

I photograph every wedding with two camera bodies at all times. Each camera I use features dual memory card slots, meaning every image is instantly backed up and written to two cards simultaneously as it is captured. This added layer of redundancy is extremely important, as memory card failures can happen unexpectedly. Even if you decide not to book with me, I strongly encourage you to ask your photographer whether they use cameras with dual card slots for backup protection.

Here is a selection of some of the equipment I currently use:

  • Canon 24mm f/1.4L II
  • Sigma 35mm f/1.4
  • Canon 50mm f/1.2L
  • Canon 85mm f/1.2L II
  • Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro
  • Canon 24–70mm f/2.8L II
  • Canon 70–200mm f/2.8L II
  • Tokina 16–28mm f/2.8
  • Multiple Canon 5D Mark IV camera bodies
  • Godox V860II speedlights with multiple light modifiers
  • Godox AD600Pro and AD200 strobes with wireless transmitters
  • MagMod light shaping tools

What is your process when taking bride and groom photos?

Every couple is different, and every wedding venue presents its own unique opportunities. Rather than following a rigid shot list or forcing the same poses on every couple, I tailor each portrait session to your personalities, your comfort level, the available light, and the environment around us.

This personalized approach is one of the reasons couples consider me among the best NJ wedding photographers. My goal is to create portraits that feel natural, flattering, and uniquely yours.

My Approach

When planning and photographing your portraits, I’m constantly evaluating:

  • The quality and direction of the light
  • Architectural elements and scenic backgrounds
  • Creative framing opportunities
  • Whether off-camera lighting can add dramatic impact
  • Comfortable and flattering posing based on your height and body types
  • Your personalities and how much direction you prefer

Some couples are playful and naturally affectionate in front of the camera, while others feel a bit camera shy. Most couples start to relax within the first few minutes, and I provide as much or as little guidance as needed to help you feel comfortable and confident.

How the Session Typically Flows

I usually begin with a few classic portraits that parents and family members will appreciate. From there, we transition into more candid and creative images.

One of my favorite ways to get couples comfortable is with simple prompts, such as walking hand in hand and focusing on each other. These natural interactions often lead to genuine laughter, emotion, and beautifully authentic moments.

Even when I guide you into a pose, I encourage movement and connection so the images never feel stiff or overly staged.

Making the Most of Your Venue

I use the environment creatively, whether that means incorporating gardens, architectural details, benches, staircases, or dramatic landscapes. If conditions are challenging—such as harsh sunlight or extreme heat—I quickly adapt and find the most flattering locations.

When appropriate, I may use professional off-camera lighting to create dramatic, magazine-worthy portraits with a refined editorial look.

How Much Time Should We Allow?

For the best results, I recommend setting aside 1 to 2 hours for:

  • Bride and groom portraits
  • Solo bridal portraits
  • Groom portraits
  • Travel between locations
  • Lighting setup when needed

Allowing enough time ensures we can work without feeling rushed and gives us the flexibility to create a diverse and stunning collection of portraits.

The Bottom Line

My process is flexible, artistic, and tailored specifically to you. Rather than relying on cookie-cutter poses, I combine experience, technical expertise, and creative vision to produce timeless wedding portraits that are both emotionally authentic and visually striking.
